My Favourite!

I know my slalom is still not up to standard, so I want to learn from her!

Just some words that pop out from me one day.
If we don't do freestyle slalom, then who will?
--------
Some comments about slalom being heard before:

"Oh, slalom is so difficult!"

"I think slide is easier than slalom, and fun!"

"I really don't like to go through those cones..."

"So many slalom competitors out there..."

"Only those with jelly legs do slalom."

Some comments about slide being heard before:

"Slide is quite dangerous..."

"I got this scar because of slide, so I won't slide anymore (phobia)"

"Slide can only allow us to show off for few seconds but slalom can show off for many many seconds"

All these above comments are a collections for visiting the small rink too often... It's very common for all of us to make comments, so I hope you understand that I'm not pin pointing at anybody. No offense, dah~

From these comments, I feel that we should so some rethinking about how we behave towards the sports we are into? Are we arrogance & rebellious in some ways that gave the public bad impressions about skaters?

One day I travelled along a public path in a very slow speed, considering that there might be pedestrians along the way, then a few aunties & uncles snorted and grumbled (yeah, obviously at me)... I did nothing but just skated past them.
---------
Maybe they just care for our safety if we think positively. Maybe in order to get the sports recognize, we have to change some of our attitudes?

Let's be nice together! No littering, No smoking, Be Kind & gentle, Be calm even being offended. Sounds too much? What about act cool instead of rebel? Act as friend by advising them instead of shouting at those kids? Show off with your greatest smile instead of arrogance?

You need not smile if training on your stuff... So you know if the face is full of aggressiveness, please do not disturb.

A note to competitors: Do not be taken aback when people call you "hao lian" especially when you show off your stuff. We are performers. We need to ask people to see & watch our performances in order to improve. Those people call you "hao lian" because they don't know the purpose at all.

Humble is essential, showing off is a must.
