Ris Low, the Miss Singapore World 2009 winner, got a bad reputation for misusing customers' credit cards in the past.
I think alot people will be thinking:
"She's a disgrace to Singapore!"
"She's not supposed to represent Singapore with a criminal record."
According to the news report, she never lie or deny about this fact.
I remembered when I first saw the news. I was neutral. Com'on! Every human do make mistakes. Do you wish to be forgiven after making a mistake? Yes. Me too.
If she promised never to repeat the mistakes again, and really proves it herself, I think we should give her the chance to chase her dream for the Miss world title. She can successful even with the reputation.
How?
I was thinking, if she proves herself by standing against all odds, and by the time she got older, people remembered her as an ex-offender yet a successful Miss World. She can still be successful, and maybe help ex-offenders to stand up... etc.
Ain't there's some sort of campaign for Anti-prejudice against Ex-offender?
