Activities 2009 Summary

I have been reflecting, have I made the right move for today?

Somehow, I am disappointed with myself recently.

Many things are going to change. Several things change every seconds. I want to keep up with changes, and many times I'm left breathless.

There are so many opportunities for me and you in life. It's only the choice.

Once I chose one to move forward, I always wish very hard that I won't regret.

Some people persuaded me to give up coaching. Some people persuaded me to continue as an athlete.

Giving up skating is not my forte anymore now. I'm stubborn or determine, up to you.

Giving up competitions? Competing will be just for fun if I ever do.

To improve coaching, it means you have to keep coaching and understand people from different aspects. To compete, as a coach you share experiences to your future students. It's not to "kill" your students during competitions.

Now I understand why coaches are not supposed to compete, especially when of the same category as his/her students. That means I can still continue to compete if I chose to.

Thinking back, I've been clenching and grinding my teeth throughout past more than 2 years as an athlete with Team Micro (now known as Team Seba). Due to my parents who always object me, stop me from skating in any ways, plus a full time job created alot unwanted stress. Their usual ways? Dangeraous and negative factors about the sports. I think some parents are like that too.

In fact the remaining parents are more encouraging when it comes to skating because they are skaters too.

Not a long period though. Contract ended. Previously, I was considering whether to sign again. If there's better alternatives, I will consider.

I went on coaching, objections again!!!

I will go crazy if they object in anything I do!!! What the........

But....

I still hang on till now... :D

Now I hope to influence them with my positive vibes and continue.

Counting so far, I have coached more than hundred students from several schools and other sectors within 8 months. To be exact with the numbers... I will come back again. I should thank Edwin for this.

I am currently a freelance volunteer (facilitator) at Castle Beach for Team Building & Training Programmes with teachers from several schools and workers from several corporate companies. Its fun and frustrating at times as we work with Sand Castles under beautiful weathers most of the time.

Learnt from many different kind of people I've never met before. Bad and good. I saw how ugly people can turn into. That's why frustrating at times. Especially when they pushed blames on me for their failures and how I suggested ways to solved certain problems and they never follow.

These experiences forced me to realize that one must go through failures. When they do, never try to stop them even if you really want to help because in the end some will blame you for not giving them the chances to experience failures.

I was laughing to myself. Its surprisingly true. Nothing right or wrong. I thought what will happen if I never help them? Will they blame me for not helping them enough when there's failure? Ha~ I hope I can become invisible.

Some of my free times were used to assist the visually handicaps. Quite recently I was invited to experience the darkness myself (being visually handicapped) at Ngee Ann Poly "Dialogue in the Dark". If you are curious, the entry fee is $10 for a journey through darkness for more than 1 hour. Usual is $20. This concept was founded from Germany. More details at Dialogue In The Dark

Fear at first, but I adapted the darkness gradually. ;)

I was invited to perform for a group of seriously illed children and their parents. One of my official performances and I hope to turn it into better. I wished those children will live a better life. They appeared very active but they got tired easily. Some really adorable.

Due to some circumstances, I never respond well to an invitation from Media Corp. I could have done better.

Wishing more opportunities for myself and all of you too. :)
