Events Of Yesterday & Today

My first day of New Year 2011...

I am grateful to some beads that protected my fingers as they were being smashed into bits by the door which were being slammed by a strong gust of wind.

Although I only had 3 hours of sleep, in the end I am still able to wake up at 5.15am to wait for the sun to rise. I think excitement woke me up.

Due to lack of sleep, I took a nap for 3 hours. In the end, I was 2 hours late and my friend left me. While, because of this incident, I build better rapport with my student's mother who I was going to meet on that day too.

Even though I was 2 hours late, my friend agreed to meet me up for Pulau Ubin today!

-------

Trip to Pulau Ubin is a fruitful one. Rented the bicycle and we headed towards West / North West.

Please take note that the printing of maps of Pulau Ubin were stopped according to an officer.

I wonder why they had stopped printing, should have asked him. I wish that Pulau Ubin will still continue to be a place for nature lovers and may the islanders be blessed.

There are several places of worship. If you want to enjoy with a peace of mind, that is. ;) Pulau Ubin is a place of wilderness which we must always be considerate and responsible anywhere we go on the island.

Halfway through the journey, we stopped at Celestial Resort for the Fish Spa at only $10. So most of our cuticles and dead skins were removed by now. Don't worry, those fishes won't bite. They will only kiss your skins. Or take it as a good deed to feed the fish.

We reached Ketam Mountain Bike Park and went through several dirt track. New experience for me. Next time we shall have good mountain bikes to assist us. We rode until our backsides sore... Tough tracks, but the scenery is breathtaking! Anyone interested to venture there? I prefer to go with someone I know.

I never take any pictures. I just don't feel like. Maybe next time. Taking a break from flirting with the cameras.

Went through Jalan Jelutong, Jalan Batu Ubin, Jalan Noordin, Jalan Ubin, Jalan Durian... I never visit Chek Jawa because I've got to work.

It was amusing how when both of us took turn to give wrong directions.

Finally, I'm on my way home and took only around half an hour to reach home including the journey on bum boat. WOW!

Hopefully this entry will inspire you to give the nature a visit and love it. It is not so healthy to be always cooped amongst a city life. We are part of the nature. Loving nature means loving ourselves. Got it?

Got to end here.

May Year 2011 be a great one for all!
