Many times, some people have low self esteem in their looks so that's why they resort to self starving, plastic surgery, photoshop obsessively, aggressive exercise, splurge on beauty salons and beauty products, apply thick make up every time, looking at the mirror obsessively, all because of their boyfriends & girlfriends, important self image, to be like a supermodel, to be popular, whatever reasons you can think of.
I have gone through all except plastic surgery.
I must admit that I did thought of going under the knive especially when I was trying hard to become a model 2 years ago. I find it hard to fit into this industry especially when some people told me I have an ugly nose. However I never do it because it was way over my budget; ultimately I was struggling to survive. It is perfectly normal for ladies to want to look pretty especially under a huge influence from the media, even the guys. But after going through all the experiences, I think being ourselves, having our own style is more important.
Anyway this photo is my way to express my self appreciation of me without any make up and less any skincare products. (I love my smile!)
I still look good without all the above mentioned except an irregular facial which I signd up 4 years ago for only $188 for 10 sessions, another one was $288 for 10 sessions. I dislike going there because of the pain when they squeeze the blackheads and I still have 9 sessions to bear. But after that my face will be very smooth. Yes, I still love having good complexion!
I'm sure my skin gets better with enough sleep, lesser stress, drink at least 2 litres of water daily, eating vegetables and fruits daily, having tea is a must, snack only once in a blue moon, I do yoga almost everyday and rarely sleep late, I think habits play a major part to my better skin with less maintenance.
I used to sleep late, sleep less, drink water only when thirsty, snack alot, having irregular exercises, always very stressful. At that time I was very slim but my skin was not in good condition, always with breakouts which would be terrible even without period and I used make-up to cover them which make it even worse. I spent loads of money on beauty products to cure those breakouts and none works for me.
Now I only use soap and water... Not forgeting the once in a blue moon facial to squeeze all the blackheads out.
So start developing good habits that will help improve your skin condition! Keep them as one of your resolutions if you want. You will be very happy with the results if you strive on!
